For writers who build worlds

Your story, remembered.

Write your story. Let the AI keep your universe. Draft in a calm studio, brainstorm beside your prose, and watch your Codex fill itself as you go.

Everything a universe needs

LoreBook handles the bookkeeping so you can stay in the story. No setup manuals. No lore spreadsheets.

Codex that fills itself

Characters, places, factions, and rules are spotted in your prose and saved to your Codex — with the exact lines they came from. You review and confirm.

Write and brainstorm together

Your chapter on the left, a chat partner on the right. Ask for ideas, then say "write this" and watch the prose land on the page.

Three writing moods

Creative, Balanced, or Precise — pick the personality that fits the scene. No sliders, no jargon, just the right voice for the moment.

Bring your key — or use ours

Connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter key, or use included AI tokens. Either way, the complexity stays out of your way.

How it works

Three steps. You write; LoreBook remembers.

  1. Write

Draft by hand or with AI in a calm, ruled-paper studio. Brainstorm in chat, polish a paragraph, or let the story flow.

  2. AI spots your lore

When you commit a passage, LoreBook scans it for characters, places, and world details — then adds them to your Codex with source snippets.

  3. Keep writing

Every new scene pulls from what the Codex already knows. Your universe stays consistent without you keeping notes.

Questions

Plain answers. No fine print.

Do I need an API key?

Not necessarily. You can bring your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter — or use included AI tokens if your account has them. LoreBook picks sensible defaults so you can start writing quickly.

What is the Codex?

Your story bible — characters, locations, factions, rules, and anything else that defines your world. LoreBook builds it from your prose and shows you exactly where each entry came from.

Can I write in any language?

Yes. LoreBook detects your project language from your writing and keeps AI responses aligned with it. The app interface is available in English, Hebrew, and Russian.

Is my data private?

Your projects, Codex, and settings are stored securely and scoped to your account. When you use your own API key, requests go directly to your chosen provider.

Who is LoreBook for?

Novelists, game writers, serial fiction authors — anyone building a fictional universe who would rather write than maintain lore spreadsheets.
